Annual Sports Day Celebration
The Annual Sports Day held on January 26, 2025, was a spectacular display of athletic prowess, team spirit, and sportsmanship. The event began with a grand march-past by all the houses, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the sports torch and the solemn taking of the sports oath.
We were honored to have Bishop of the Bagdogra Diocese Paul Simick as our chief guest. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of sports in character building and maintaining physical fitness. He congratulated the school for providing a platform for students to showcase their sporting talents and encouraged them to pursue excellence in both academics and sports.
The day featured a wide range of track and field events, including 100m, 200m, and 400m races, long jump, high jump, shot put, and javelin throw. The inter-house relay races were particularly exciting, with students and parents cheering enthusiastically for their respective houses.
In the team events, the football match between the senior boys was a highlight, showcasing exceptional teamwork and skill. The basketball and volleyball tournaments also saw fierce but friendly competition among the houses.
The Red House emerged as the overall champion, with the Blue House as the runners-up. Individual championships were awarded to Rahul Sharma and Priya Patel in the senior category, and Amit Kumar and Meera Singh in the junior category.
A special demonstration of yoga and gymnastics by our talented students added a unique dimension to the event, highlighting the school's emphasis on holistic physical development.
The day concluded with the presentation of trophies and medals to the winners by our esteemed chief guest, followed by the vote of thanks. The Annual Sports Day 2025 will be remembered as a celebration of the physical prowess, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship of our students.
